We combine commodity materials in a novel way with digital intelligence and UX innovation, to create tactile, intelligent interfaces for automotive, appliances, consumer electronics, robotics and more. Backed by investors including Mercia Ventures, and shown as a complete working HMI at CES, it is a low-risk path for OEMs to differentiate the products people hold, sit in and live with.

What is BeyondTouch™
BeyondTouch™ is our smart-surface sensing platform. It turns a sheet of plastic or glass into a sensing surface using a dual-waveguide optical architecture, reading touch and pressure across an 80 dB force range, per finger, on flat or freeform 3D controls.
Crucially, it senses with light rather than an electric field, so it keeps working in the wet, dirty, gloved conditions that defeat capacitive. The surface is invisible to the sensing, and the sensing is invisible beneath the surface, on plastic, glass, leather, textile or wood.
Built on standard injection moulding and surface-mount assembly, BeyondTouch™ fits the factory an OEM already has rather than demanding a new one. Over time, the rich optical data it produces becomes a platform that keeps improving the products built on it.
